One of the things buyers ask me about when considering a move to coastal Orange County is, "How are the Laguna Beach schools?" This is a valid concern among families with school-aged children, as the public schools in many California cities and towns are not up to par. Fortunately, this is not the case with Laguna Beach schools.
Laguna Beach schools fall under the jurisdiction of the Laguna Beach Unified School District. There are four schools in this district, all of which showcase outstanding educational services. There are two elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school in Laguna Beach. The class sizes are in keeping with the national average, so students have the ability to connect one-on-one with their teachers.
In addition, Laguna Beach schools have achieved excellent CAT/6 test scores that surpass the national average. The majority of students in this district go on to attend a university or college, and this is shown by the percentage of students who took the SATs and received outstanding scores--as high as 68 percent! On average, Laguna Beach high school graduates scored 555 on the verbal section of the SAT test, and 555 on the math section of the SAT test. That is certainly impressive.
Outstanding Laguna Beach Schools
In addition to the SATs, Laguna Beach high school students are exceeding the national averages on the California High School Exit Examination. If you have children, it is only natural that you want the best education for them. Laguna Beach schools have demonstrated their excellence through the results of numerous test scores that far exceed the national average.
